After spending the first third of the 2006 playing exclusively on the road, the Chicago Fire finally came to their new home, Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill. Once there, the Fire got hot and very nearly claimed the second slot in the East, falling just one point behind New England. The Fire have plenty of scoring power, with Andy Herron, Nate Jaqua, and Chris Rolfe rotating through the forward slots; goalkeeper Zach Thornton anchors a strong defensive lineup which also features defender Dasan Robinson.
