Founded in 1894, the Detroit Tigers is one of the oldest baseball teams around. There are 23 Tigers in the baseball Hall of Fame. The team won the 1935 World Series over the Cubs, the 1968 World Series by beating the Cardinals, and the 1984 World Series over the Padres.
