Detroit Tigers

Founded in 1894, the Detroit Tigers is one of the oldest baseball teams around. There are 23 Tigers in the baseball Hall of Fame. The team won the 1935 World Series over the Cubs, the 1968 World Series by beating the Cardinals, and the 1984 World Series over the Padres.  This year, Curtis Granderson, Magglio Ordonez, and Gary Sheffield are going to show you how baseball should be played as they fight for a place in the World Series. Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland is also counting on the talent of Justin Verlander, Jeremy Bonderman, Kenny Rogers, Dontrelle Willi, Todd Jones, Joel Zumaya, Fernando Rodney, Magglio Ordonez,  Curtis Granderson, Carlos Guillen and Nate Robertson, who together offer one of the deepest rotations in baseball. The team’s performance hasn’t been the best recently, but with its strong mid-level hitters, the team has a bright outlook ahead. As Jim Leyland says, the Detroit Tigers are professionals. Look out for the boys from Michigan - do you think the Detroit Tigers will win the World Series? Will they get a postseason return? Watch the Detroit Tigers play some roaring good games this season, at Comerica Park against the beautiful backdrop of the Detroit skyline! Tickets for these games can be purchased at www.TicketsInSeconds.com.
