The Philadelphia Phillies are, along with the San Francisco Giants, the fifth oldest team in major league baseball team – only the Atlanta Braves, the Chicago Cubs, the Cincinnati Reds and the St. Louis Cardinals are older. The Phillies were founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as the ‘Quakers’ and are often called the ‘Fightin’ Phillies’ or just the ‘Fightin’s’. The Philadelphia Phillies have been playing at their home ballpark, Citizens Bank Park since 2004. The name of this team was altered to the Blue Jays in the 1940s, but was changed back a few seasons later. The team plays as part of the Eastern Division of the National League.
